Engineered Tough
Engineering Grade Polymer Construction
Manufactured from a specially selected, high performance, engineering polymer to stand up to tough workshop conditions.

Crash Detection
Magnetic Disconnect
Instant magnetic separation protects your torch and machine. It breaks away fast during a crash to help save your torch & cut.

Smart Detection
Built-in Breakaway Sensor
An IP67-rated sensor alerts your controller instantly. Minimising torch damage and job loss during a collision.

Accurate Reset
Precision Steel Balls
Four precision ground stainless steel balls combine with 12 strong magnets to accurately reset after a crash.

Catch System
Hidden Lanyard
Torch stays safely suspended after a disconnect. Innovative internal lanyard prevents floor drops and water dunks.

Initial Height Sensing
Full Floating Head
The sprung loaded head lets your machine touch off accurately and repeatably every time using the built in IP67 waterproof switch.

FAQ
Will it fit my torch?
Flux is designed to fit standard CNC plasma torches with a 35mm (1 3/8") barrel diameter. This includes most common models such as the Hypertherm Duramax torches.
How do I wire the sensors to my controller?
The built-in crash detection uses a D2HW-C203MR SPST-NO microswitch, which simply connects like a standard limit switch. Most CNC controllers (including those using GRBL, LinuxCNC, or Mach3) support this. You'll connect the switch signal and ground to a digital input on your controller. A detailed wiring diagram is included with your order and available on our product page.
Will the sensor work with my system voltage?
Yes, the sensor is a mechanical microswitch, meaning it works across a range of voltages including 5V, 12V and 24V systems. Just wire like a standard limit switch and it should work with most CNC controllers.
Can I use it with a hand torch?
Flux is designed specifically for vertical machine torches. However, given enough interest we may consider developing a version compatible with hand torches.
Can I use Flux with Ohmic Sensing?
Yes. Flux is fully compatible with ohmic sensing and is designed to complement it. While ohmic sensing provides accurate touch-off using electrical contact, it can fail if water, rust, or contamination disrupts the signal. Flux adds a mechanical floating head with a built-in switch that serves as a backup. If ohmic fails, Flux still ensures reliable initial height sensing and protects the torch in a crash.
